The list of these farmers is prepared by the Real-Time Government Society (RTGS). Some time ago the state government was willing to give the money separately. Latest Installment Update
As we all know that under this scheme the government will give Rs. 13,500 to each farmer every year. So it is not like that the government will transfer the money in a single installment. But actually, they will transfer the money in three different installments. If we talk about the previous year i.e. 2020 then the government transferred the first installment of Rs. 1500 on 15th May 2020. This amount was directly credited into the bank accounts of the farmers. The second installment of Rs. 4000 was transferred to the farmers on 27th October. Whereas the third and the last installment of Rs 2,000 was transferred on 28 December 2020.
So far in this scheme, the government has transferred the total amount for the last year. Nearly Rs, 1766 crores have been deposited into the bank accounts of the farmers. Out of these 1766 crores, Rs 1120 crore are released under the installment. Whereas Rs 646 crores are released as a subsidy for the farmers affected by the October cyclone. According to the reports, nearly 12.01 lakh acres of agriculture and horticulture crops had to face damages due to the cyclone in October. And with these damages nearly 8.34 lakh farmers were affected.
