Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension

Under the Kerala pension scheme, the pension is offered to the old people who do not have financial support. The scheme was previously managed by the social welfare department. However, now this responsibility has been shifted to local government, and this makes the municipality and the corporations completely responsible for accepting & processing the application and then sanctioning the amount of pension in the account of the beneficiaries. 3 different pensions are offered under the scheme, including the disabled pension and widow pension. Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme- Mentally/Physically Challenged

Herein the beneficiaries are the physically or mentally challenged citizens who do not have financial support. This is done so as to assure that the citizens are able to live a self-dependent and respectful life. The applicant, in order to be eligible herein, is required to be 40% disabled. Pension For Unmarried Women Above 50 Years

Many unmarried women in the state have attained the age of 50, and they do not have any financial assistance. Agriculture Worker Pension

  • Permanent resident of Kerala and must have resided for at least 10 years.
  • The annual family income of the applicant should not be more than INR 1 lakh.
  • The applicant must have attained 60 years of age or even more.
  • applicant should not be the service pensioner or the family pensioner.
  • The applicant should be a non-income taxpayer.
  • Must have worked as the agricultural labour under the landlord for at least 10 years or even more.
  • Must be working as the plantation worker.
  • The property owned under the family name or by the applicant should be 2 acres or less.
  • Must be agriculture worker welfare fund.
  • Must not have a 4-wheeler vehicle that runs on the engine capacity of 1000cc.
  • Should not be receiving any pension or salary from the end of State or Central government.
  • Should not be retired state or central government employee.
  • Should not be receiving any kind of social welfare pension.
  • No benefits for the orphanage inmates.

Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme- Mentally/Physically Challenged (Disability Of 80% Or More)/ Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme- Physically/Mentally-Challenged

  • No age limit for applicants.
  • The applicant should be a non-income taxpayer.
  • The annual family income of the applicant should not be more than INR 1 lakh.
  • Should not be receiving any social security pension from the local governments.
