YSR Bheema Scheme

  • It is an insurance scheme which is meant to provide security to the Andhra Pradesh poor and unorganized workers’ families in case of an accident. 
  • Under the scheme, if a beneficiary’s death is due to the accident or they suffer permanent disability, in such a situation, the insurance amount will be credited to the family member’s account of the Beneficiary.
  • Around 1.14 crore Andhra Pradesh citizens will be provided benefits under this scheme. 
  • INR 510 crore is the total budget of the government to provide support under this scheme. 
  • 1.5 lakh- INR 5 lakh will get deposited to the family member’s account of the Beneficiary, as a part of the insurance cover, within 15 days. 
  • INR 10,000 from the end of the government will also be provided by the government as immediate financial relief, and in order to avail this benefit, the Beneficiary just need to pay INR 15 per annum as their premium for YSR Bima.
