YSR Cheyutha Scheme- Launched

  • YSR Cheyutha scheme- YSR Cheyutha scheme was announced by Andhra Pradesh chief minister on 12th August through the video conferencing that was done from the camp office of CM located in Tadepalli, Amravati.

YSR Cheyutha Scheme- Phase II of the payment

A lot of promises were made by YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy during his election campaign, and as a part of fulfilling the same, the Andhra Pradesh government finally released YSR Cheyutha Scheme second installment.

As a part of it, INR 510 crore was released for 2.72 lakh Beneficiaries on 13th November 2020. Any beneficiary who did not receive benefit during the first phase of the scheme was said to have received financial assistance during the second scheme.

For 2100189 beneficiaries, INR 3937.9 crore was released, under which every single beneficiary was about to receive INR 18750 as financial assistance.

This assistance is expected to benefit the scheduled caste and tribe, minority community and also the other backward classes women aged between 45-60 years.

Through this scheme, the government is trying to strengthen the rural economy. INR 18750 every year till 4 years, which will amount to INR 75000, will get transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries of the scheme.

YSR Cheyutha Scheme- Implementation

All the scheme was to be implemented on 12th August 2020; the memorandum was signed by the government on 3rd August 2020 with three companies including HUL, ITC and P&G. It was through the video conferencing that the Chairman and MD of Hindustan Unilever Limited, Mr. Sanjiv Mehta, P&G CEO Mr. Madhusudan Gopalan and ITC Executive Director, Mr. Sanjiv Puri, were all seen to be participating as a part of the scheme. All these companies, together we are going to provide better marketing opportunities and also technical support to around 25 lakh women in the state. It is expected that INR 4500 crore will also be spent by the government as a part of this scheme.

YSR Cheyutha Scheme- Budget

  • On 16th June 2020, the state budget was disclosed by the Andhra Pradesh government for the upcoming financial year at Velagapudi Assembly. 
  • It was the finance minister, Mr. B Rajendranath Reddy, who presented the state budget of INR 224789.18 crore.
